About Carrazeda de Ansiães

Carrazeda de Ansiães is a municipality in the district of Bragança, Portugal. The population in 2011 was 7,473, in an area of 202.37 km². The present mayor is António Fernando Baptista, elected by the Socialist Party. The municipal holiday is on July 25. The municipality contains seven civil parishes (freguesias):[3] Cabeça Boa Carrazeda de Ansiães e Rodrige Cunha Baixa Escariz Riba de Âncora Vale de Anta Veiga Carrazeda de Ansiães was elevation to town status on 26 January 1993. The municipality is bordered to the north by the municipality of Macedo de Cavaleiros, to the east by Vinhais, to the south by Miranda do Douro and Mogadouro, and to the west by Vila Nova de Foz Côa.
